tech, I wish I could have as much faith in the justice system as you. Personally, I don't think Jackson has any interest in what's really going on. I may be cynical, but that's the way I see it. Did you see the Ed Felten testimony? How self-agrandizing can someone get? First, he lists every award he's ever come close to receiving on the first full page. Then, a guy who's probably barely in his 30s refers to the students who wrote much of the IE disabler program as "two young assistants". Interesting thing is, the program they wrote carefully removes all references to the browsing code from the shell and explorer, but leaves the browsing functionality in to support applications (such as Quicken and others) that use that part of the Windows system as APIs. This alone demonstrates that IE is part of the system. Finally, while he writes the testimony as if he's unbiased, he states near the end that the program also renames the "Internet Explorer" folder to "Microsoft Internet Applications" to "more accurately reflect its functionality". An irrelevant step that demonstrates his real intentions. Funny thing is, after what he's done, he has removed the application functionality while preserving its system components, proving that they were unable to remove it from the system. Still, he declares victory. I don't understand how people can buy this inconsistent bull. Mike
