AAAAAAARRRGGGHH. The correct usage is: "capisce", third person singular (if you're not buddies). Second person singular: "capisci".
Second person plural: "capite"; third, "capiscono".

"kapito", my God, is part of the past tense, as in "hai capito?" (did you understand?), and so on....

We shall not get into passato remoto or other fancy stuff tonight, okay? Capisci?
