Poor use of statistics (how many for instance?).
IBM employees are supposed to be eating
their own dogfood anyway(McNealy phrase). Probably IBM employees
are the biggest users of IBM RISC (AIX) machines...so what???

Yes, and I've also heard of a lot of them dumping their projects
because they did a poor design evaluation and realized afterwords
that JAVA is TOO SLOW.

From previous postings, this seems to be true and I agree.
I was trying to dig up info as to how much is Oracle dependent on JAVA for its future.
