Thanks so much for the debate text links, Dan. I don't know how I missed them! (Cheapskate that I am, I too was using the web version, not the print version.)

I've read plenty you've had to say here. Try this on for size.

I have great respect for anyone who cherishes the right to personal freedoms and personal sexual privacy.
But in this long story, a woman who kept her mouth shut so long- was slandered by
implication by a right wing magazine and the testimony of Policemen. The evidence
implicating her existed because Clinton had asked to see State Employee Paula Jones in his office.
He thus became, in a he said/she said situation, the ONLY one who could clear her
name- the reporting magazine(American Spectator) couldn't possibly accomplish this. He refused- he never
expected her to get a case in court. He CONTINUES to deny he even remembers her-
which is just not plausible at this point in time. He knowingly and wrongly committed
perjury over Lewinsky in order to damage the Jones suit. His desires have taken him
now beyond the pale story of a family matter. It's perjury against the case of another
citizen, and it's by god impeachable. So arrogant is he that he has probably said to
himself long ago "I didn't get anything offa her so I'll be damned if I'm going to let THIS
news item hurt MY reputation- I'll Deny it." Jones's prior history of public silence would
indicate she may well have kept the details to herself if only he'd admitted calling her to
his room- as soon as it came out- and stated simply that nothing happened between
them. But on the assumtpion that America(and his wife) wouldn't be so NIAVE, he lied- and that lie
brought us all the way to his enlisting of Monica Lewinsky to lie- and to lie about enlisting her to lie- oh geez it's endless....and all the way to today when he still denies these actions plain.
All to protect himself from a situation where he didn't get any! GEEZ! What a putz. His willingness to withold the truth and allow Paula Jones to be damaged in the public eye, and the perjuring lengths his "shame" has taken him- is definitely an affront to women, the law, and all citizens. He should be REMOVED from office.
