Multiple Zones Adds Auction Service to Site

Direct marketer Multiple Zones signed a deal yesterday to run FairMarket's auction service on Multiple Zones' electronic-commerce site, pczone.com.

The auction service will start on pczone.com in mid December, Multiple Zones said. Company executives believe adding online auctioning will help boost hits on the pczone site.

iVillage Files For IPO

iVillage, a well-known website for women, wants to go public.

In a filing Friday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, New York-based iVillage said it wants to raise $46 million in an IPO. The company, which applied for the ticker symbol IVIL, did not say how many shares would be offered nor the offering price.

Goldman Sachs is lead underwriter, with Credit Suisse First Boston and Hambrecht & Quist assisting.
