Dead right--no company changes cultures overnight----it takes years and years-my theory is that by the time "any company" in reality is even a partial threat to Dell ----it will be too late!!!!-they will have been --"DELLMOLISHED" --RESULT-THE WORLD'S VERY FIRST TRULY GLOBAL UN-REGULATED "BULLET PROOF" MONOPOLY.

Mohan,

Big deal! More BS from the Billy haters. This is another turn of the software wheel.

The microkernal is a stripped down operating system with basic I/o.
They can take Linux kernal or the Solaris kernal and leave the filing system to ORACLE. It just means you can't run anything but Oracle on the machine.

By the way the Solaris kernal is likely to be immensely larger than the Linux kernal. I doubt if SUNW would like it if Oracle used Linux.
