From OMKT site Boston, MA - The business leaders in the field of e-commerce were all in attendance at Success '98, Open Market's annual user event. 600 Open Market customers and partners gathered to exchange "best practices" and share their insights and lessons learned. Open Market software is used by the top 10 commercial publishers to manage and distribute their information assets. In attendance were representatives of West Group, Matthew Bender, and Wolters Kluwer. The commerce solution of seven of the top 15 destination Web sites are built on Open Market technology including America Online, Time Inc.'s Pathfinder, and Disney, all of whom participated in the conference. 11 of the top 14 national telephone companies are offering commerce services based on Open Market technology. Five of the top six subscription Web sites take advantage of Open Market technology and attendees were treated to a fascinating forum of representatives of Pathfinder, Consumer Reports, and Playboy. ...
