if CIEN doesnt have the financial weight to lower prices....they should seriously consider selling out to a heavy weight at this point. any chance, CSCO would buy?

John, given the guidance for the next two quarters is break even (at best), and for the next year is a meager .50 or so, its clear that the stock is not likely to rise above 20 for some time.

IMO, even a buyout price would not likely be much above 20. Nettles will come to this realization soon, and sell the company for 18-22.

I think, short-term, we are headed to the 12-14 range. There's just way too much uncertainty for WS to get comfortable with this company any time soon.

New strategy of increased R&D spending and direct sales staffing has already started. Look at the last quarter operating statement. One of the major reasons why the earnings are where they are.
