AR, I haven't got a clue about Babb. My guess is, since it is in the private club section, that he doesn't pay to post.

The Internet Financial Connection is a newsletter run by Mark Johnson. Mark is connected somehow to SI and Go2Net, but I don't really know how. I do know that when I write a piece for IFC, I get an SI t-shirt.

I think the idea of IFC is to bring in opinions from outside the mainstream of SI and Mark has done a good job of rounding up contributors. Though I think the bulls outnumber the bears about 20 to me -g-, I still like to read every new IFC edition.

The forums were started to comment on the articles. Although the articles get some nice pops, 10,000 or so in many cases, the forums don't. I can think of two reasons for this. If it is an outside author, he cannot be reached other than by E-mail. And if it is somebody on SI, folks simply post on that person's most frequented thread. Every time I write a piece, I get some people coming over to this thread to tell me what a dope I am. As if I didn't already know. -g-
