When the market declined in JULY the 3 major indexes(DOW,SPX,NAZ) turned down at the same time. Only the DOW right now has pulled back significantly, with the SPX just starting to show some sign of topping with its recent DOUBLE TOP. The NAZ has not really had firm confirmation of topping yet, although there are some hints of weakening.

I dont think the market can move much higher, but am leaning towards a trading range trend for the next few months/1st quarter, which is similar to your time frame.
