You misunderstood my post - it was the installation of Oracle that took a few hours. the original CPQ/Oracle development was a team of around 10 people and took about a year, and my understanding is that the Dell effort was of similar size. Dell has expanded the original work and tied it into the installation more closely.

I do not mean to disparage Dell at all here - I was pointing out that the original effort was spectacularly successful for CPQ and got them better than 50% of Oracle's NT business. Dell was very smart to partner with Oracle and build on that work, and I expect them to gain substantially in this segment as a result.
