Ted--- in many areas where Y2K may cause a problem but the actual year is of no importance 1984 is being substituted. 1984 was a leap year and Jan 1 was a Friday--- same as we will see in 2000. This gives them ANOTHER 16 years until they fix the problem, replace the software, or change the year to 1984 again <gggggggggg>.
