Michelle,

I saw Hillary and Bill this a.m. stepping
off Air Force One. They were holding hands
and smiling. This woman forgives like nobody
I know. I am 37 years old and have seen many
relationships come and go but I have never
seen adultery forgiven like that. It leaves
permanent scars in most relationships.

You are correct in stating that the American
People are very forgiving. The problem here
is that Bill Clinton has yet to admit any
wrong doing, yet he does ask for forgiveness.
Usually when people ask for mercy, they admit
their crimes first. I still think that he
could have prevented this situation if he had
chosen the path of an honest man rather than
a scoundrel. When he went before the court
in the Paula Jones Sexual Harrasment Case, he
should have admitted wrongdoing, appologized,
and accepted his punishment. Instead, he
chose a path of deception, lies, and sleeze.
Now we have the mess at hand in Washington.
It is nobody's fault except Bill Clinton for
the situation that has been created.

I think that I will close with a quote from
another Presidential scoundrel who made amends
with the American People. When Nixon was asked
in 1985 why he didn't fight the charges and ask
for an appology, he replied "I think that the
sincerest form of an appology to the American
people was resignation...". Nixon may be a
crook but he understood redemption. I wonder
if history will be this kind to Bill Clinton.
