I noticed that there is a lot of what appears to be tax-loss selling going on the last two weeks which is to be expected when you have a bad year like we had. The stocks getting hit the hardest seem to be the junior mining stocks and the small-caps in general.

I think the Euro vs. US dollar thing is a little overblown. I don't believe there will be that much of an impact from this transition.

Placer's decision to buy Getchell for more than twice the closing price on Friday is indicative of the value that exists in this sector. I think this announcement will help rejuvenate the whole precious metals sector.
