I don't see the 'appliance' system on this page although I know it's available...

The 'failsafe' code was written 100% by CPQ, first shown at CeBIT '97. Rights to this package were given to Oracle by CPQ after the development was complete. Also CPQ is the reference hardware platform for Oracle 8 on NT. CPQ also ran the world record 100,000 TPM-C benchmark on Oracle Parallel Server, although that was a Unix benchmark on Alpha.

Dell has an opportunity to step ahead of the crowd with their database appliance work but I have not seen much press on it and I sure can't find it on this page. These are just standard Oracle offerings.
