I had a stock that went delisted.
Before I could sell it for $1 to ETrade, it was "Removed"
from my account.
ETrade says this was somehow part of the takeover after banckruptcy - I never did get a straight answer.

Now that it's out of my account, ETrade seems to have forgotten it ever existed and doesn't want to sell it for $1.
They sent me a form, which I returned, but I have not seen any action.

Can I claim it as a loss?
Would my statement showing it "removed" from my account be backup?
