fon and wcom are excellent picks for the long term.
I expect them both to double (sprint will move up faster in the early second quarter).
The reason for the moves, in my opinion, is due to several reasons,
first and the least interesting, is the movement to safer stocks by the mutual funds. These stocks are basically utilities.
The second, and much more interesting, is what they are doing. These companies are rolling out exciting services that should reap nice products next year. The capital expenditures these companies are making towards these goals are now driving up the prices of companies like LU, CSCO, XYLN, LEVL afci etc.
Short term, I like the equipment makers. Long term the quiet companies like fon will do just as well.

Actually, I have mentioned WCOM several times here. Best internet play, telephony play. Great management and my target price for this year has been exceeded, and my conservative target for next year is $75 ($100 over the next couple years). This is not a short term play - this is a very long term investment.
