The deal is the Barrick geologists and a few others think the Filo Frederico and the Amable may join up. This would take it to 7 million ounces or more. And perhaps since Pascua is 2.5 miles away and 17 million ounces it joins somehow to it too. If it does it starts to look bigger than the Yanacocha and perhaps the largest in South America. Now how much would you pay for that thingumabob? Now the isolated nature of these diatreme breccias tells me that they don't go on forever. They do however respond in a linear way to the trend along fault planes. There could be all sorts of other little satellites on the way along the ridge. Yancocha in Peru is a similar structure and is 9 separate orebodies. So far here we have a much more fertile system and we have 4. They found these by finding a small structure and then finding ones next door. This perhaps has not stopped.

I think Barrick is striking early. I think they have anticipated a rise in the Gold price for a while now. Dome says it won't be for 2 years. If that is true they would still be acquisitional now.

Tony,I have talked to many at Barrick. The land position that came with Piernia was highly valued. Barrick won't give up on the bid. They won't let someone else like Newmont in their backyard so to speak.

Many said they paid to much at Goldstrike at the beginning also and look what happen.

Best of luck with arp.
