Terri - agreed! Maintaining the very basis of our governmental system is what this is all about. The "rule of law" and the ability of our judicial system to subpoena people in order to get to truth is at the very foundation of our legal system. If this is not maintained then we should all beware. Imagine the ramifications if we accept that it is OK for our Chief Executive Officer to break this fundamental principal when they choose - especially to trivialize it for their own personal reasons!

This is not about a sexual affair.

This is about how we must handle such a serious situation as the President of the United States defying the "rule of law".

Ah Terri..You missed the anology in TMex's comments.

Do you really think that any person in a major political office would have acted differently than Clinton in lying about a sexual affair.

I do beleive that that very prospect was counted upon by persons who wanted to nail Clinton simply because they couldn't find anything else to get him.

It is unfortunite that in going after Clinton they really went after the Office of the President. The will pay come next election.

I have sent e-mails to all of the Republican politicians in Congress that have an e-mail address letting them know that I'm starting a new Web site titled "Republicans Against the Re-Election of Republicians."

This is not becuase they nailed Clinton, its because they nailed the Office of the President.

Their actions are based around a civil matter (sexual conduct) unlike the other 3 impechments that were based around felonies (Burgulary and theft).

GS
