In the past, LGND's growth in market cap has certainly outpaced its increase in share price. I think RH's concern was that LGND had already grown too much through acquisitions. He seems to like smaller Biotechs, and LGND has moved into the mid-sized group, and almost certainly expects to be one of the major Biotech players, one way or another.
