<<When Bush said "read my lips no new taxes" was that a crime. Like fraud. He was trying to get elected and he told THE AMERICAN PEOPLE no new taxes and then he raised taxes. Seems like fraud. >>

When Bush gave his lips statement that was about his future intent. At that time he was against raising taxes at all. Later Congress sent him the tax bill that he approved in a compromise that the dems later forgot. If you remember Bush lost the White House and was called a liar over that.

Now when Slick gave his finger shaking hissy fit last January he was lying about a FACT. Fraud? Yep and he is in the White House now. Time to get him out.

You can not seriously equate political puffery in a campaign with lying to a federal grand jury, can you? Maybe that explains it. JLA

It was a crime that the Democrats raised taxes in a phony Save the Social Security and Medicare scare. And now they're at it again. The government is the only business in which people get rewarded for screwing up. The bigger they screw, the more they get rewarded and the bigger the spin that they saved the day. What a joke.

If you don't know the difference between a campaign promise and committing perjury under oath, you are not capable of rationally discussing this topic.
