<But are you going to ever address the facts in this case?
>,
The facts???????? What are the facts? That Clinton lied in a deposition in a civil case? That the area he lied about(his consentual relationship with other women) was shortly thereafter ruled to be immaterial to the Jones case? That the whole Jones cases was subsequently thrown out? That he later tried, vainly, to obfuscate what he had done in the deposition when called before the grand jury?

These are the facts, right?

They all relate to perjury in the civil case. The other counts of the impeachment are idiotic. The abuse of power is the most idiotic. Abuse of power should refer to the powers unique to being President. Clinton lied to his friends and aides, you don't have to be president to have that power. Trying to invoke a privilege regarding his gov't lawyers and the secret service is not an abuse of power, since this was litigated, he lost and obeyed the court order.

The obstruction of justice count is actually contradicted by the main witnesses in the case. So its really about lying in the civil deposition. Was that a crime? Probably. Is that impeachable? Not in my opinion for the very reasons I've outlined four times for you. His purported crime did not have anything to do with the operation of the government or the integrity of the constitution. That's what impeachment is about. You and your ilk want to punish Clinton. I don't have any problem with trying to do that by indicting him after he leaves office.

Got it now?
