I don't know if you were looking for a response from me, but I will say something anyway. The press is getting to the point of admitting the lack of moral character of President Clinton. He has few defenders in his party or the media. The defense of Mr. Clinton is also a pragmatic approach to avoid having the Democratic Party tarred in the process. After the time period when Mr. Gore could ascend to the presidency and still run for two more terms (about January 20 I believe); you might see Democratic support start to waiver. All that being said; I believe that if no impeachable evidence could be gathered on the Chinese campaign contributions to the DNC, the FBI security clearance files found with Hillary Clinton, Whitewater, firing of the travel department to bring in a patronage contractor, futures trading irregularities by Ms. Clinton; then let it drop. I think that many people feel this way. There were many legitamate targets of investigation. If nothing could be found, call it a day.

I dont think the Republican faction understands the impact this is having in foreign countries and the negative view they have of all this. You said it very succinctly... Meanwhile, the whole world laughs at us, important issues are left unattended, the market could very well take a big hit, hostile foreign governments and terrorists are encouraged to do who knows what, and probably more negative consequences. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict who is going to get blamed and hammered in the voting booths over this. The GOP better wake up in time!!!
