This inturn will cause mergers just as re supermarkets area and at some point we are going to have higher prices in relation to our US dollar as in other nations food is higher than here." Okay, is this deflation or inflation. Higher food prices: inflation? Lower farmer commodity prices: Deflation? Can't have both? Maybe base metals can drop a lot further down. Everyone seem to think that when you need two tonnes of metal, that it all needs to come from the ground. How much actually comes from scrap yards? PS: {I really don't care if people get off track} Merry X-mas to all Anyone want to speculate on Gold over the coming days, with impeachment votes a coming.

Darleen, are you practicing catching falling knives again? Can't you see that help to the farming community help the weak among them stay afloat and thus continue what must apparently be overproduction which keep pressure on prices? The CRB is shouting "deflation" in a loud voice, all sectors are trending down, and some are still far from ten years lows, while others (like some agricultural commodities) are piercing some 10 or more years lows. Why should gold revive when demand is faltering? Zeev
