An actual loss of 3% versus a gain of 7%. I first came across this on portwatch.com

I just registered with portwatch.com to see if I could find this comment. I couldn't. I did find the following:

Newbridge Networks (NN) is located in Ontario, Canada, not far from Nortel. Newbridge 1998 revenue is estimated to come in at $1.18 billion (US dollars), all of which is derived from the Network and Transport markets. Some 45% of revenue comes from sales of packet switches to carriers and another 15% comes from sales of packet switches for LAN applications. Dataquest estimates that Newbridge held 34.4% of the ATM WAN backbone switch market in 1997; this market is growing at an annual rate of 23%. Newbridge derived some 40% of their revenue from circuit switching products during 1998. This market is in decline, as most new investment is going into packet switching products. Newbridge revenue from circuit switching products declined 17% from 1997 to 1998.
