Hi Melinda,

There's so much information out there! I suggest reading -- slowly--the book you bought, as well as the magazines, and bringing any questions to the thread. Information in magazines is generally not as up-to-the-minute as online or television news, but it has the advantage of providing background and explanatory information. Plus, you can re-read it.

The one thing I'd suggest you do at this point is to watch CNBC when you can on weekdays. I've learned an enormous amount about politics, world economics, foreign currency, not to mention stocks and general business topics, by turning it on at 7:00 am and keeping it on throughout the trading day.
