Hi Michael, Actually I have started to post on the KOB thread, at the request of a few friends (Yes, I do have some!!). Since it's off topic on this thread I'll only summarize here: Water coning is the most likely source of the water. No Temblor formation oil leg, just fairly dry gas (~10 to 15 bbls/MM). Gas is sweet. Incompetent casing/cement, too. Huge reserve concentration per acre. Reserves are of course unknown, but the potential is several TCF. Yep, the ocean hit after an estimated 1.5 BCF production. Can you imagine the sandface pressure drawdown on this sucker when it was blowing wild at rates supposedly in the 100 - 130 MMVF/d range ?? Huge pressure gradients in this reservoir. Could have pulled a water cone an awful long ways in just 14 days or whatever. Even grayhairs doesn't believe this well is economic. But, hopefully the replacement well will be economic !!<ggg>What can we safely make an 'educated guess' about? Well I guess when we are guessing we are never absolutely safe, Michael. As you know being right a lot more than you are wrong is of paramount importance when you are "guessing". Some people can work with estimates because they recognize them for what they are. Others require absolute proof of everything and hence are never able to get anything done. Such is life. BTW, I'd be most interested in your thoughts on ELH #1. I do not care if you reply here, to the KOB thread, or via a Private Message. I would however value your views. Later, grayhairs P.S.--Congratulations on the enhancements to your Personal Profile. Can you not go just a bit further ?? Is S.I. a problem ??
