The polls were about 45% wanting censure or impeachment. About 55% don't want impeachment. There've been a lot of actions taken by the government against the wishes of the majority. Do you really think higher taxes would've passed popular referendums.

More liberal poppycock. Hyde is a courageous person who appreciates that the rule of law must be respected whether or not it is politically expedient. Guess you disagree with several of the Dem members of the Judiciary Committee who congratulated Hyde on his fair and impartial handling of the impeachment matter. JLA
