He didn't get a majority of the vote in either election. They should've had a runoff in at least the first election. It resulted in a weak President who had no mandate, except in his own mind.

softcash, They are voting, it's called the House Of Representatives. Each member represents a percentage of the population. That's why it's called a representative form of government. Are you from another country perhaps?
