Brooke, thanks! I'll play around with all of these and see if I can come up with a Horizontal Range Breakout scan. As an example of the condition, look at CPQ from Nov 11th thru Nov 26th. Although it gave a false breakdown move, it's the kind of flat trading range I'm looking for.

Hello all batch file programmers...... Anyone have a script for WinBatch or something similar that will allow me to do the following:? --run the QP daily download, stop/rerun if no new data --update existing metastock files (happen automatically when launch download, /go?) --open QP scanning program, run a QP scan, close program --open Metastock, run an Explorer scan, close Metastock If the modem timer disconnect signals during any of the above, will that interfere with the continuation of the script? Any help for the above would be greatfully appreciated. Running Win95 and Metastock 6.5. Debra
