Afaq, these posts got me wondering if the reason Media One and Osicom haven't made their announcement yet might be to avoid tipping the competition on their strategies and plans. MediaOne doesn't play alone. They own something like 25% of Time Warner. Just wonder if they have big, unrevealed plans for, maybe even a novel approach at the booming demand for broadband: voice, data, video - radio stations, TV. Cable TV, Satelite systems... I could well understand them not wanting to show their hand too early. Certainly it will be recognized by other players that MediaOne was smarter than Bell Atlantic in their selections. The cost advantage could be enormous! And if deregulation of cable takes effect as planned (March or May), cost will determine who lives and dies. I've just been wondering why we haven't had a press release for MediaOne, yet, and that's the only GOOD reason I can find. I was concerned that something fell through, but Par confirmed actual sales, and additional sales. About a year ago Xin told me that he expected to add about 1 new customer per quarter. I commented that that didn't seem like much. He stated that each customer would continue to add-on quarter after quarter. With the number of evaluators in phase 3, Osicom could actually far exceed expectations from a year ago. By the way, I agree that LU is a very good company and stock to own. I think they'll grow for the forseeable future. But not nearly at the rate that Osicom is capable of growing. I'll readily admit, LU has less risk. If Scott B. already has his money made, by all means LU is safer. And each of us has to do what is best for our own situation. David
