To the thread:

Fred Dawson wrote an interesting article in this week's
issue of Broadband News:

multichannel.com

The two highlights are:

a) WNP will probably sell its spectrum to bigger
players (RBOCs etc...) This could be bad news for Winstar,
but remember that the FCC has a 3 year rule before the RBOCS
can buy the LMDS spectrum in their operation area. However no
such rule exists for out of area LMDS licenses.

b) Webcel is trying to get a court injunction against the
FCC transfer of the Teligent spectrum from 18GHz to 24GHz.
We might see some light cast at last on the FCC's shenanigans.

The only thing that makes me angry is that Winstar is always
mentioned after Teligent in all these news stories. Fred Dawson
should know better.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy

PS: with respect to Steve Chrust's insider selling, doesn't
he have a new venture for which he might need cash? In any
case, I would advocate a no vote next time he is up for
reelection to Winstar's board of directors. I do not feel
the same way about Nate Kantor, since his sales follow a regular
schedule and are obviously part of a financial plan.
