OK, can't resist. Re Lies: Do these words ring any bells? "We have no troops in Laos." Or these?:"We will not bomb Cambodia" Or these?:"We did not trade arms for hostages." Nixon was not impeached for those lies, neither was Reagan. Nixon was impeached for lying and trying to cover-up an attempt to subvert an election. The difference between lies having to do with national security and Clinton's lies about a consensual peccadillo seems to be lost on the new speaker, Livingston. So we have a war between the absolutists and the relativists in this country now. The absolutists of the far right who think all lies are impeachable(just look at all the WASPs on the Judiciary Committee) and the relativists of the middle-left who don't see life as being black and White(the Dems are the ethnic party on the Judiciary Comm). We're having a cultural war here, serious conflict brewing, but if you think things are bad now, just wait until the 2000 elections, with all the apocalyptic baggage of the millenium. Mr. Street, you are a closet fascist. Hasn't anything in your life ever been grey?
