Don't be afraid to ask "stupid" questions. I am sure there are readers that will benefit from the answers.

Why don't you post your system and solicit some comment? Tell us what you use the machine for and what you would like to be able to do.

Generally older machines are best put to use as a second machine or given to a family member. RAM upgrades are usually worth the investment. Sometimes adding harddrive space is helpful. When you get to processor upgrades many times it is best to start looking at a new system.
