Bob & Phil, my latest issue of PC/Computing (Jan 99) devotes 7 pages to MP3 (MPEG layer 3). It is too much to condense here, suffice to say it is the future and I'm elated that TSIG has joint ventured with the firm in Atlanta.

Per PC/Computing here are the top MP3 websites:
audiodiner.com
Songs from new acts and cheap singles from names you know.

goodnoise.com
eMusic's parent site, GoodNoise, is also a record label.

mp3place.com
A solid collection of mostly dance mixes and alternative rock.

mp3.com
The best site for MP3 news and software, plus hundreds of tunes.

musicmatch.com
Get blues and folk tunes in MP3 format here.

yesterdayusa.com
The Internet's largest repository of old-time radio shows.

There's one other, www.emusic.com that I could not bring up. It is allegedly the premier source of tunes, free and for sale.

Best, Joe

REW,

I always thought I was very upbeat on TSIG. You, my friend are totally infectious. This time in TSIG's life reminds me of my days at CBS Records. One of my first assignments was to do an advertising campaign for a group headed by two little known guys - Jim Steinman and a stocky guy named Meatloaf. I did the campaign and the promo guys worked real hard to just get Bat Out of Hell to be a Gold Record.

As more and more people found out about it, it eventually went Mega Platinum. That first Meatloaf Album/CD is still one of the best selling recording of all time.

Great OTC-BBs are all beginning to take off. Buckle Up.

It certainly feels like TSIG WILL Take Off like A BAT OUT OF HELL........Norms

Hi Bob -

There is a real revolution/war going on in the music industry. The base of power is shifting from music industry executives to the artists and consumers. My impression is that the music industry has no choice but to adapt. TSIG could play a major role in the adaption process.
