That is true. I did not like the way he coached in Denver. But he was at the Super Bowl with Denver twice. Don't know anything about his stint in New York but I do know he is good with discipline. My comment is only in that Elway and Reeves would be played up in Denver and the media would get a lot of legs out of that story.

I do think the coach is central to success in the NFL. Players play the game but the coach runs the team. You can see the results of good coaching in Denver. Look at Wade Phillips years versus the Shanahan years. Shanahan's style and play calling fits the players like a glove in Denver. His ability to organize and delegate to assistant coaches and players has created an organization second to none. His ability to get the players to think of team first and personal accomplishments second will rank him among some of the finest coaches to ever coach in the NFL. His ability to discover raw talent and acquire it for the Broncos is proved with Terrell Davis and Ed McKaffrey.

Lets hope STEN coaches have the same abilities. If so we will win.
