Whatever you do, don't get a PII 400. IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY. If you want to go with Intel, buy a Celeron A and overclock it. It's faster, and MUCH cheaper.

Take the savings and buy a refurbished 21" monitor instead of a 19". It makes a huge difference.

Good news is you can buy an AMD K6-2 400 and get the same performance as an overclocked Celeron A on games, and you don't have to fiddle around with jumpers and voltage settings.

Bruce,

You can always get a Compaq with a K6-2!
I figured you would want an AMD chip......
and since I own CPQ, I didn't want you to think
that I was biased toward CPQ!
