Charles, I share your disgust for Clinton's actions. I am equally disgusted by Hyde's past, but there is no chance that he will be removed from office because his party is in the majority. "Rule of law, not votes" should apply both ways. If Clinton were an honorable man he would have resigned last Spring when it all came out. And if Hyde were honorable he would have resigned too, along with at least half of Congress.

The sad outcome is that we will likely never again be blessed with having Congress and the Presidency controlled by different parties and that the Democrats are the likely winners in 2000 as a result. I feel like something just died in our government.
