Thanks for your reply, Brian. However, I didn't take Gilder's post as a comment on future demand for bandwidth. I took it as a warning that the particular technology (OC-192) is not as easily scalable as others. I can't say for sure, but I think I read in a past Gilder Technology Report that he thinks fiber technology dependent on SONET will be at a disadvantage. It's a mental note I made. It's also why I inquired here. In any case, they can just pull more fiber through the conduits if need be.
