MRBIG-- i agree...its not a big deal, but it is interesting...one of the reasons i bought the stock was my experience with the company. to my knowledge, they roll a truck only if they have 5 orders. there are sometimes special circumstances, but usually that is how it works. to my knowledge they can and do put more into one truck. to my knowledge, the deliveries arent that far apart from one another, so the drivers probably do them all in 1-2 hours. one thing that needs explanation...i only order maybe every 2 weeks, and its normally not more than 80-90 dollars. i am on the lower end of the average customer who has a family of four and lives in a 250k+ dollar house. as for my experience with the service, nothing but good things. if they have a question on a substitution they call and ask. i've never recieved rotton food or food that expired too quickly. its been great. the real value to the delivery (i would pay more for it if they asked<G>) is to people like me...who simply HATE the grocery store. the not-having-enough-time excuse is really just an excuse for misanthropes like me to rationalize the cost. as far as the prices, i would say comparable. i could go to HEB and get some of the generic things a little cheaper, but most of the stuff i buy isnt generic and the prices are pretty close. here again, i am not the average shopper so my experience may be skewed...i would pay 1dollar an item more to avoid the store<G>. if you have ever been to an HEB, you know why peapod is so great<G>. as for the costs breakdown, most of the taxes come out of the employees wages. the clothes are pretty simple...polo and shorts or pants, not really expensive. insurance goes on a company wide policy so i think its probably pretty cheap.i dont know how the workers are classified so i dont know about the health benefits or workers comp issues. all in all, they should be profitable on it. if they arent they need to do some serious work<G>. good luck to all, trey
