Lee ... I know ... IBM kinda reminds me of Merck .... disappointed, but people then bought anyway ... and now talks about the low end of estimates going forward and everyones shocked !! ... gee whiz .. what a surprise. There are other examples that come to mind. Ascend missed their earnings whisper number, dropped to 36, and has since made a run close to 70 !!.

I don't get it ..... as I've said before, I don't understand the US market and it seems more removed from reality than the European markets.

One of the day trading threads is saying that Coke is a certainty for 3 points this week ... but it hasn't been justifying its high P/E for a while. Still, I suspect he's right.

Disney has been depressed and has analysts saying they will continue to struggle meeting estimates for next year ... but it continues to be bought on any dip.

I won't even state my opinion about the chip makers .....

Ah well ...... as Roy Orbison once sang ..."its a mystery to me-eeee, its a mystery to me !!!
