Karin,
When you highlight the area you want to copy, hit "Ctrl" and "C" at the same time to copy, then, when you want to paste, hit "Ctrl" and "V."

or another way to copy and paste...

1)highlight the word (you've got that already, right?)
2)click edit on the menu bar on your browser
3)click copy
4)click on the area you wish to paste to
5)click edit again
6)click paste

:)

>>When I click my right mouse button the highlighted area disappears!

If the highlighted area disappears it means when you right-clicked, your mouse pointer was not in the highlighted area. When this happens nothing is "copied" and when you subsequently right-click to paste, "paste" will not appear on the menu because nothing has been copied.
