Richard,
My point was to determine the best way to pick the percentage of float point to use as a cut off. My thoughts was to run say 50 scans that covered a 29 day period. The goal would be to determine the percentage cutoff point that produced the smallest percentage of bad trades. I thought it better to run the scan several times to get a more representative set of data.

I think that I would run by present prescan each Friday as I presently do and then use another scan to watch for stocks with high ratio on a daily basis. The main question in my mind is the percentage cut off point. I plan to work on the project the week after Christmas and will let you know if I get any meaningful results.

p.s. I totally agree about keeping non-beta testers in the dark. The only thing that they need to know is the project release date of the program. Then the companies goal would be to meet that date.

I've been reading the recent posts to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. I was actually out sick all last week with a bad throat infection, our chief programmer was out with a sinus infection, so nothing got out last week.

We did get one cd out the door today, more will follow tomorrow. Here's what we're shipping - this is the Final QP2.1 Beta. The file formats have been re arranged to improve scan performance and reduce the amount of time it takes to update after the download.

There is a new ascii export program that can maintain a separate ascii file system on your hard drive.

The disk buffer has been eliminated.

You can control the amount of data on your hard drive.

It includes CCI and StochRSI.

It has a variety of bug fixes, but no new bugs!

We will verify that everything works as it should, then we will release it to everyone else. The release will happen sometime after Christmas. You will have to call to get the cd, but there will be no charge unless you want expedited delivery.
