Bruno,

I know there is alot of .mp3 compression software out there. I will try "audio catalyst" once I get a few bugs out of my computer. I got a message this weekend reporting "imminent failure" of my hard drive. (Hope I am not out of commission too long.) My first impressions are that the sound quality is good. As Craig said, it will probably be sufficient for most audiophiles, especially if it is used with a digital walkman in situations where there tends to be alot of ambient noise. I am more enthusiastic about running or working out with such a device where the advantages of being shock-proof can be best appreciated. This is an arena where MMC may prove to be an excellent choice of storage media. The cost per MB for CF is at best $3.00 and that is just too much for this application. Hopefully we will be seeing 64 MB's of storage capacity for MMC in the not to distant future.

Ciao,

Ausdauer
