Based on what assumption? Your desire to see CIEN lower? Any serious effort on your part will uncover that CSCO and TLAB are actively trying to acquire CIEN.

I believe that you are quite mistaken.

How does Cisco's Stratacom acquisition play into that model? They
do tend to buy technology companies early in their development, but they're
not shy about dropping a billion or four to get a better industry position,
either.

Given Cisco's push into Telco, I'd suggest that this would be a very
savvy and timely purchase on their part.
