MarketWatch is a joint venture between CBS Inc. (NYSE:CBS - news) and Data Broadcasting Corporation. StockTIPS utilizes content from CBS MarketWatch and DBC. The service provides investors and investment managers with access to critical financial information on their portfolios in real-time, through digital wireless (PCS) devices. The package is designed around StockTIPS' Internet-based Portfolio Management which allows investors to customize their portfolios of stock, stock options, commodities, futures, futures options, indices, and/or news using specific tracking criteria. When criteria are met, the investors receive alert messages and the vital information is provided in real-time via their digital phones.
