Carol certainly wouldn't have considered dropping her last name, since she does have a following as Carol Lay. And yes, that's her real name. If she were going to make one up I'm sure she could do better than that. Hope you enjoy her strip. I'm not unbiased, but I think it's one of the most consistently interesting strips in print today. You just have to get around the fact that it's often not meant to be funny. - Allen
