BTW, buying STBI @ $7.5 translates to $11.5 for TDFX. Nice discount.

This day ain't over yet. I'd give it a couple of days before I started talking discount. TDFX could very well touch 11 or 12 while the market asseses what just happened.

This just in from CNN (via Sewerguy on TMF):

"To gain an edge in that battle, Ballard says 3Dfx will not release the Voodoo3 technology to other video card makers. Rather, the much-anticipated accelerator will only be available on 3Dfx brand cards"

I'd really like to hear their reasoning on all this.
