It does not take any additional time for TNTO to match your order internally. No orders are held up. If the market were as follows,

MMID PRICE VOL
TNTO 22 1000
ISLD 22 1000
MASH 22 300

and you enter an order to sell 2300 shares at 22. 1000 shares would instantly cross and the balance is simultaneously sent out to ISLD and MASH. There is no delay.

If the market were as follows,

MMID PRICE VOL
ISLD 22 1000
MASH 22 300

and you enter an order to sell 1300 shares at 22. The order is instantly routed to ISLD and MASH. There is no delay.

If the market were as follows,

MMID PRICE VOL
ISLD 22 500
INCA 22 500
REDI 22 500
MASH 22 300

and you enter an order to sell 1800 shares at 22. The order is instantly routed to ISLD, INCA, REDI and MASH. There is no delay.

The TNTO connection to other pools of liquidity is beneficial. Remember, we don't force you to trade on TNTO, you can send orders directly to ISLD if you choose. But, if ISLD is not at your price and REDI or ATTN or MASH, etc. is, you stand a better chance of getting filled on TNTO.
