Raymond, if you or another threader here also follow any gold threads
or simply read gold articles, could you or another please post a
short and simple summary of what this might mean to the likes of Maxam.

I just read on the MGR thread that this was a stock swap deal, not one
for money. Does this mean that all shareholders of the mine company
taken over get stock in the big one ? Also, could the shareholders
of either vote No for the merger ? And, what if it was not a stock
swap, but cash. Does cash mean that if deal goes thru, the shareholders
in the small company get cash for shares, and not stock in big company ?
If so, guess they have to buy the big companies stock with the cash
if wanted, but probably no special considerations, but at the will of
the market.

Thanks

Doug
